At least that's what I told myself when my jumprope broke this morning. The rope snapped off right at the handle. WOW! I am so strong that I am making mincemeat of this jumprope!!
Nah...
It just happens that the life expectancy of a $3 jumprope is approximately 13 days (or 6200 jumps).
6200 jumps - look at us go!
(and look at me go shopping this afternoon...)
Shit - so I bought a $7.99 jump rope - does that mean I've reached its halfway point? I have another in reserve - a "fancier" one, but i don't like it as much. I prefer the cheapo one.
ReplyDeleteAm shopping again today too - for lighter resistance bands. Borrowed some but the handle is broken so they're a pain (literally and figuratively to use).
Nice pics!!!
Yes! Enjoy the 13 days you have left with it ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what kind to get... I liked the cheap one too. I will report back if I find something good. As for resistance bands, mine should FINALLY arrive today! Can't wait - I've had no handles at all!
Sarah R. recommended the Nike Speed Rope, which is my fancier back up one. She loves it. About 15 bucks. Mine is made by BellFit - about 7.99:)
ReplyDeleteGreat. That one is the highest recommended online too. I'll see if I can order one and just get another cheap one to carry me through. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou do have arms of steel - look at that photo!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed, seriously.
Thank you, that's really nice to hear! They are so weak though! I hope to be strong soon. You should see me do a pull up... you would chuckle.
ReplyDeleteWow... I don't remember my jump rope brand at all, but it doesn't seem to have any significant wear. I did notice, though, that Susan's is pretty rough at the strike point and I'd wager it'll snap before too terribly long!
ReplyDelete6200... I can't believe that number. Although, mine might be +/- a few hundred because I can't keep up with my counting!!
LOL - am picturing one shadow jumproping! I went with the $5 everlast speed rope - i hate it but can't seem to break it
ReplyDeleteNike speed rope FTW. I'm around 1,000,000 jumps on it and it's hanging tough.
